"Twice now my wife and I relied on Mark DiOrio to improve on our house and help make it the home of our
dreams.
A few years ago we decided to build a library to accommodate a large book collection we had been keeping
in storage for years. We hired an architect to design it for us and solicited bids from a number of
contractors, but all came in substantially above our budget offering few to no ideas for how we could
cost-effectively re-design the plan. Then Mark DiOrio came into the picture. After listening to our
must-have requirements, Mark enthusiastically shared his ideas for how we could better leverage the
structure of our home to not only create more library and floor space than the original plan but include
additional storage areas and a covered patio area - and at a lower cost that the original design. Mark
even worked directly with our architect to translate his ideas so that the architect could revise the
plans and then submitted them to the township securing the necessary permits. It was a thrill to watch
Mark and his workers in action turn our undersized dining room into a beautiful new handcrafted library
that exceeded all expectations!
More recently, we wanted to convert our backyard from grass to paving stones with a gas grill and fire
pit. Initially, we were working only with an expert in installing hardscapes, but then we realized the
project wouldn’t be complete or perfect without a classic pavilion. That’s when we turned to Mark DiOrio
once more. Mark earned our trust when he built us that luxury library. In fact, we were so confident in
his abilities that we put Mark in charge of the entire operation. Mark consulted with us to keep the
trains running on time and to build us something truly beautiful.
